This white oak entryway table was made for a repeat client who recently moved to the east coast from San Francisco. We made them a dining room table in white oak, and they came back to us several months later for an entryway table and a coffee table. This oak entryway table was a lot of work. The inside of the oak dowel pedestal base on this 30" round table is built as a dodecahedron, a twelve sided form to which we wrapped these 3" oak dowels that were machine turned and then ripped in half in our workshop. It was very careful job to get the pieces tight together, looking really clean. Careful attention to detail in every step of every build. The top is white oak with a pure oil finish.
A piece like this doesn't need to break the bank and will stand the test of time. If you buy something cheap from an online vendor for an entryway table like this it will never bring any joy to you when you look at it and it will end up on a curb eventually.
