Iroko Storage Bench for Pool Area

This piece was built to go in a transitional area between the pool and the house, so it will hold wet towels and bathing suits, and has a storage shelf for dry towels or slippers and sandals beneath. We chose to build from iron because of the natural water repellent properties of the wood and the beautiful grain and color. Iroko is commonly used in furniture as a teak alternative, as it's less expensive. Iroko is tricky to work with. The boards are very hard and sometimes hold so much tension that when you cut or rip them, they move slightly.

Sipo Mantle Surround and Walnut Kitchen Island in Milton

This project came to us from an awesome client who also happens to be an interior design professional remodeling her own kitchen and living room. Here at Cannon Hill Woodworking, some of us come from a professional remodeling background, but remodel is not what we do as a group because we are very much set up as a workshop operation. We make furniture for the most part. That being said, we do build accent pieces and install them. We've done many bar tops and live edge shelves and walnut kitchen island tops for example.

Teak Round Dining and Coffee Tables for Outdoor Use

These are seven teak tables we made for a restaurant that is being built in Revere, overlooking the water. Four of the tables are dining height and three are coffee table height. As with many of our projects, on these bases we started with a photograph and we came up with specs and built the bases custom for our clients. These bases have a black zinc powder coat to ensure the most rust proof coating available for seaside furniture.

Iroko "African Teak" King Size Bed Frame

The design for this bed was inspired by a combination of the clients' previous bed which they liked very much, and their night stands. The reason they went custom was because they were purchasing a King size bed from the Sleep Number store and they wanted a frame that would fit around their new bed and wrap around the Sleep Number frame and mattress in the right places to cover up the mechanized platform.
