Cherry

The heartwood of cherry varies from rich red to reddish brown. In contrast, the sapwood is a cream white. Typically, cherry will darken with age. The wood has a straighter grain than walnut or maple, and much less character than oak. This lends itself to a more classic and clean finish, with a uniform, smooth texture. Cherry is an elegant wood that looks great in any setting. We recommend mixing a small amount of cherry pigment in with a natural finish to bring out the natural pinks and reds in the wood.
